Path of Ayan

Path of Ayan is a rhythm-based survival game that I did for my Design Sprint course in the university. 

It is set in the Yoruba culture, where the player survives by playing the talking drum at different events.  They earn money by playing the drum patterns correctly.

The more money they earn, the more credibility they will garner. This credibility is like their reputation, so to speak. They can progress in the game by using these credibilities to unlock new events where they will play to a new rhythm to earn more money and more credibility. 

Beware, poor performance will reduce your credibility. Perform poorly too often, and you might end up starving! This game is suited for music and rhythm game lovers, but everyone else is welcome to play!

This is my first prototype of the game where I tested out the base drum-beating rhythm mechanics. I also added a basic scoring system for now. Later on when I continue to develop it, I am going to add a lot of features that will make the gameplay fun and dynamic.
